Let me get one of those non-alcoholic beers.

Malcolm: Okay.

Sheila: I’ll have A… I’ll have club soda, please.

Malcolm: You got it.

Sheila: Look at you. Still being all good for hope and brooke. I’m a little surprised you wanted to see me in public.

Deacon: Well, I knew if you asked me to your hotel room, you’d try and sleep with me.

Sheila: In your dreams.

Deacon: In my nightmares.

Sheila: Why’d you want to see me, deacon?

Deacon: Oh, sheila, sheila, sheila, I’ve got news, I’ve got big news.

Sheila: Really?

Deacon: Mhmm.

Sheila: What? You’re off parole?

Deacon: Ah, no. Somebody is back in town. And you’re never going to guess who.

Steffy: Hi.

Ridge: Hi.

Steffy: I see that I’m not the only one who misses mom’s hugs.

Taylor: Well, truth be told, I give excellent hugs.

Ridge: And she smells nice, which is perfect.

Taylor: I’ve been wearing the same perfume since our wedding.

Steffy: Which wedding, the first or the second?

Taylor: Very funny, steffy.

Ridge: She wore the same for all of them.

Steffy: I remember that. That perfume, like every time I go into an elevator and catch that smell, it reminds me of you. That makes me miss you.

Taylor: Well, you’re not going to have to miss me anymore because I plan on staying here for a while.

Steffy: That is music to my ears. Like this, right here is the best visual. The two of you smiling. It can’t get better than this.

Katie: Taylor is back in town?

Brooke: If you can believe it.

Katie: You sound just as shocked as I am.

Brooke: Well, probably even more so.

Katie: I thought she was off working someplace.

Brooke: She probably got burnt out, and I can understand that. It’s just bad timing, you know, for her to show up now since there’s so much tension.

Katie: You’re talking about deacon.

Sheila: Thank you.

Malcolm: You’re very welcome.

Sheila: Okay, so who is this mystery person? An old flame of yours?

Deacon: Nope, she ain’t bad looking. I’ll tell you that much.

Sheila: A she.

Deacon: Yep.

Sheila: Who?

Deacon: Take a wild guess.

Sheila: I am not going to sit here playing 20 questions with you.

Deacon: Then, you’re gonna have to find someone else to clue you in.

Sheila: Fine, because I really don’t care anyway.

Deacon: Oh, you’re going to care about this one, believe me.

Sheila: Okay, if it’s so important for me to know who this is, why don’t you just tell me?

Deacon: Okay, hold on your barstool.

Sheila: Would you just stop it and spit it out?

Deacon: Who is the one forrester woman who hates you even more than steffy?

Sheila: Hmm.

Deacon: Her mom.

Sheila: Taylor.

Deacon: Taylor is back in la la land.

Katie: Obviously, you’re concerned that taylor is back.

Brooke: I certainly don’t need the added stress, but it’s not like I’m threatened or anything.

Katie: No, no, of course not. I mean, you and ridge love each other.

Brooke: Of course we do. But, yes, there has been some extra tension in our marriage lately because hope wants a relationship with her father and ridge seems to have a big problem with that.

Ridge: I was just telling your mother about my troubles at home.

Steffy: Oh, about your frustrations with brooke.

Ridge: My frustration with hope and wanting deacon to be in the house. But yes, brooke is supporting it, and I, I think it’s a bad idea.

Taylor: We all know deacon’s track record, so…

Ridge: I just want people to be safe. I just want to keep everybody safe, that’s all.

Steffy: And you are. I’m sorry, dad, that you’re dealing with this.

Taylor: Me too. You know, since we’re… since we’re sharing right now and I’m all about honesty and being open these days, I, you should know that I just told your father something that you’re already aware of, which is… I will always love him.

One role of a lifetime…one

sore throat.

Katie: So, you’re under the impression that taylor is going to be sticking around?

Brooke: It appears that way, but for how long is anybody’s guess.

Katie: Well, I get what you mean about the timing. I mean, you already have so much going on, now you have to add taylor to the list.

Brooke: It’s no secret that we’ve had our differences through the years, but I certainly don’t wish ill will upon her.

Katie: No, of course not. I mean, we all know the pain of missing our children. I mean, will’s at boarding school and I miss him so much. I can’t wait to see him at christmas.

Brooke: Exactly. And if taylor wants to spend time with thomas and steffy, she should do that. It’s good for her. And, of course, spend time with the grandchildren. I just can’t help but feel that the timing is so coincidental.

Katie: Because of the challenges that you and ridge have been having.

Brooke: Ridge and I don’t see eye to eye about deacon and that’s caused some tension in our marriage.

Katie: Yeah, but the two of you love each other, you’re committed to each other and, and you’re both doing what you think is best, you’ll overcome this.

Brooke: And I do understand his perspective. I really do. I don’t want to do anything that’s justaway.

Katie: You’re not going to let that happen.

Brooke: Yeah, but katie, he’s already walked out on me a few times.

Katie: It’s natural to be frustrated. That’s human. You know, especially when the two most significant people in your life are, are are battling each other. I mean, you want to support your daughter and her wishes to be with her father, and you also have to be respectful of ridge’s concerns. I mean, it’s a tough balance.

Brooke: I guess I just have to be more patient with ridge, right? I need to understand his point of view a little bit more.

Katie: Well, it couldn’t hurt, especially now that taylor is back in town.

Taylor: I just, I wanted to express how I feel, I’m not trying to cross any lines or do anything like that. I respect your marriage to brooke.

Ridge: No one, no one thinks anything of that. You’re, you’re… we like how open you are, I do.

Steffy: Yeah, it’s really nice, mom. You weren’t always this sentimental.

Taylor: No, no, I wasn’T. But life is short. You know, my new motto is “express what people mean to you while you have a chance.” It’s simple.

Steffy: I like that.

Taylor: Yeah, me too. I don’t have any expectations here. I am just learning how to speak my truth and, and not hide my feelings. It’s my job to encourage people to be authentic and vulnerable. I have to be willing to do the same.

Steffy: I admire you so much, mom.

Ridge: It’s a good way to be, right?

Steffy: Hmm, yeah, it takes a lot of courage.

Taylor: Well, besides, who couldn’t love this guy, right?

Ridge: I agree.

Taylor: Not only are you incredibly handsome-

Ridge: Oh, stop.

Taylor: But we had the happiest years together. We raised an amazing family and you gave me memories that I’m going to cherish for the rest of my life.

Ridge: I remember all of them.

Taylor: You’re just going through a rough patch with brooke. And I hate that you’re in such turmoil with deacon. I just want you to be happy ridge.

Sheila: Unbelievable, taylor hayes?

Deacon: Figured you two weren’t on good terms you know, seeing as you shot her.

Sheila: It was an accident, deacon.

Deacon: Sure, sure it was.

Sheila: Steffy is already keeping me away from my son and now she’s going to have her mother in her ear just making things worse. Oh, god. This is all I need.

[Door opening]

Brooke: Well, well, well. Look who’s back in town. Nyquil severe gives you powerful relief

Sheila: This is not fair. Of all people, why did taylor have to return?

Deacon: Oh, they say, karma’s a bitch.

Sheila: What am i doing wrong? I look at you, deacon, and you’re giggling with brooke, doing karate with your daughter. You can come and go from that estate as if, as if you’re a regular part of the family.

Deacon: I’m hope’s dad, I am part of the family.

Sheila: The point I’m trying to make is you’re making progress with your daughter. And I can’t even see finn. I can even be in the same room with him because of his wife.

Deacon: And now, steffy’s got mommy for backup. Good luck with that.

Sheila: Yeah, it’s just making things worse for me. Steffy, she just… she needs to quit with this grudge. She just needs stop standing in my way.

Steffy: Am I in your way?

Ridge: No, by all means. Do your thing.

Steffy: I just think the pleat needs to be a little tighter.

Ridge: Hah!

Steffy: I know you’re a fashion designer. I run corporate, but I know a good pleat when I see one.

Ridge: We’ll make it tighter.

Steffy: Gosh, you look amazing, sequoia, seriously.

Sequoia: I’m very into this one. I love the way it moves.

Steffy: And your silhouette is fire.

Ridge: I guess we have a hit.

Steffy: Dad, you’re really killing it. Keep up the good work.

Ridge: I’ll fix the pleats and then we’re gonna be set. Thank you so much for your help.

Steffy: Thank you so much, sequoia.

Sequoia: My pleasure.

Ridge: Bye.

Steffy: Wow. I think this collection is going to be amazing.

Ridge: Hey! What is going on with you? Where is this energy coming from?

Steffy: I’m just really grateful to be working alongside you. That and I get to go home and hang out with mom.

Taylor: Well, brooke, you look lovely.

Brooke: Thank you.

Taylor: Yeah.

Brooke: You look lovely as well.

Taylor: Oh, thank you. Thank you. I’m just suffering from a little bit of jet lag.

Brooke: Long flight.

Taylor: Long flight. Yes, very long. But I’m here now, and adjusting to the schedule.

Brooke: Well, I didn’t expect to see you in town.

Taylor: I don’t know why you’d be surprised. My family lives here, so L.A. Will always be my home.

Brooke: I guess you’re staying with steffy.

Taylor: I am. Yes, I was going to get a hotel, but she insisted I stay.

Brooke: Well, of course your children miss you so much.

Taylor: And I miss them too. That was the hardest thing about being away, but I knew that ridge was keeping an eye on everybody, and I knew that everybody was happy and healthy.

Brooke: So, how about you? I’ve always been impressed with the important work that you do and how you help so many people.

Taylor: Yes. Well, it’s extremely rewarding, but it doesn’t come without its challenges. I’m– I’m grateful that I was able to be asked to be part of those programs.

Brooke: Oh, good.

Taylor: Yeah.

Brooke: Sure keeps you busy.

Taylor: Keeps me very busy. I’ve been working 24/7 around the clock.

Brooke: Oh wow. You’re just running yourself ragged. Do you have time for anything else?

Taylor: Like what? Like shopping? Sightseeing? No.

Brooke: I just mean, you know, being alone for that extended period of time.

Taylor: What are you getting at brooke?

Brooke: I just… you’re an attractive woman, taylor. I would think that men would be interested in getting to know you.

Taylor: Right. Thank you. Thank you so much. I can’t tell if you’re trying to set me up on a date or you just want to know if I’m seeing someone.

Brooke: Are you dating?

Taylor: No, I’m not. I just said that I’m not dating at all. Nope. I haven’t had time because I’ve been very busy. Seems like this might be kind of hard for you to wrap your head around, so I’ll make it easy for you. I don’t need a man to define me.

Brooke: Wow. Okay. My hygienist cleans with a round head.

Sheila: Well, you must love this, taylor being back, right?

Deacon: Doesn’t affect me one way or the other.

Sheila: You’d love it if this put a crack in brooke’s marriage.

Deacon: Listen, ridge put enough cracks in that marriage on his own.

Sheila: We certainly know he has been on the fence. Right? Brooke and taylor, taylor and brooke. But even though you don’t want to admit it, you know that this is an opportunity for you.

Deacon: You know, not everyone is always working an angle, sheila.

Sheila: You know, I envy you, deacon? I mean, here you’ve got the opportunity to really create something meaningful with your daughter. Me, on the other hand, I mean, with steffy’s constant interference, I have no prospects. And now that taylor is back in the game, it’s going to just make it that much harder for me to see my son.

Steffy: I’m really lucky to have mom on my team.

Ridge: Yeah, your mom would do anything for you.

Steffy: I know she came back and look how beautiful she is. Everything about her.

Ridge: Yeah, she’s always been beautiful.

Steffy: But, it’s also what she says, you know? She tells us to live our truth, speak our truth.

Ridge: I, I think we’re all trying to do that.

Steffy: But I don’t know if we’re really doing it right. I honestly think we’re doing it all wrong. I realize that you are married to brooke. But, dad, I hate that she disrespects you. And now that mom is back, I wonder if… if you ever imagined what life could be like if you were still with mom?

Taylor: Oh, I’m not… I’m not judging you, brooke.

Brooke: Really? Wow. Well, what you said just now, that just seemed really judge-y to me, taylor.

Taylor: Did it, did it seem like that?

Brooke: Yeah.

Taylor: Okay, let me try a different way. Um, you don’t enjoy being alone. Is that better?

Brooke: Speak for yourself.

Taylor: Okay, I will. Um, I’ve been away doing a lot of soul searching and work, and I found happiness and fulfillment in myself.

Brooke: That’s wonderful.

Taylor: Thank you. Look, I don’t, I don’t have it all down completely. I still miss and need steffy and thomas, even ridge.

Brooke: Well, of course you do. I mean, I would miss my family terribly if I was thousands of miles away.

Taylor: Well, you can’t go back and change decisions, and I’m not sure that I would if I could anyway, but the important thing is that my kids are happy and they’re in a healthy place.

Brooke: They are. And steffy found finn. He’s great, you know? He’s a very talented, very handsome doctor.

Taylor: I like finn. I do. He is… he’s a wonderful husband and a loving father.

Brooke: Isn’t that crazy about sheila? Sheila carter being finn’s mom and steffy’s mother-in-law? I mean, that’s unbelievable.

Taylor: Yeah, that’s the only downside. But at least sheila isn’t in their everyday lives.

Brooke: That’s true, that’s a good thing. And it’s also good that steffy moved on from liam. She’s happy with finn.

Taylor: She is. And you have ridge and hope has liam. Hope’s a real winner brooke, just like you.

Brooke: Okay, I get the feeling you might still be upset about that. You did just tell me that you’re single, you’re alone. Yes, you have kids with ridge, but I’m married to him, so I don’t know if that bothers you still. I mean, you may view it as steffy losing out to hope and you losing out to me. But I don’t look at life like that, like winners and losers. I believe that we all create our own destiny. Look, taylor, what I’m trying to do here is extend an olive branch.

Taylor: Oh! Really?

Brooke: I know it doesn’t seem like it. I’m sorry, but I am. I don’t think we need to do this. I don’t want to argue with you anymore. I don’t want this competition and this conflict. We shouldn’t fall back into old patterns. It would be nice to be friends. I would really like that. Do you think it’s possible after all these years of being at each other’s throats? Do you think we could finally be friends?

Back to the B&B Transcripts Page

Back to the Main Daytime Transcripts Page

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-1056557952271337"
     data-ad-slot="8801203268"
     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

Bold & The Beautiful Transcript Transcript provided by Suzanne Deacon: Hey, malcolm.
