Even though, as you said, there is no body.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn: Well, I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;re gonna find a way to get brady cleared, okay?<\/p>\n<p>Belle: I&#8217;m gonna try. Kayla. Hey. Oh. Kayla? Baby.<\/p>\n<p>[Monitor beeping]<\/p>\n<p>Demon marlena: All right, jan. You&#8217;ve been on the sidelines long enough. I need my star player back in the game.<\/p>\n<p>[Mystical dramatic music]<\/p>\n<p>Male announcer: Like sands through the hourglass, so are the &#8220;days of our lives.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>[Soft orchestration]<\/p>\n<p>Steve: Kayla. Baby, come on, wake up. Wake up, please. Please wake up.<\/p>\n<p>Kayla: [Groans]<\/p>\n<p>Steve: Oh, god. Thank god.<\/p>\n<p>Kayla: Ugh&#8211;ah! Get away from me! Dr. Evans?<\/p>\n<p>Marlena: Yes, dear. Just relax. Everything&#8217;s okay.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: What happened to me?<\/p>\n<p>Marlena: You&#8217;ve been in a coma.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: Again? How long this time?<\/p>\n<p>Marlena: About six months. It&#8217;s nearly christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: Oh, man. I missed the summer olympics?<\/p>\n<p>Marlena: You did.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: [Sighs] They had surfing. I really wanted to see that.<\/p>\n<p>Marlena: Yeah, I&#8217;m so sorry.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: It&#8217;s not your fault. The person to blame for this is philip kiriakis. I was in a airfield with him and&#8230; chloe lane, and I had a gun. He threw dirt in my eyes.<\/p>\n<p>Marlena: And he banged your head into a pole.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: Stupid jerk.<\/p>\n<p>Marlena: I wouldn&#8217;t worry too much about him. From what I understand, he&#8217;s&#8211; he&#8217;s gotten what&#8217;s coming to him.<\/p>\n<p>Tripp: Did the police find your uncle&#8217;s body?<\/p>\n<p>Allie: No. Just his prosthetic leg.<\/p>\n<p>Tripp: Maybe there&#8217;s a possibility he&#8217;s still alive.<\/p>\n<p>Allie: Yeah, that&#8217;s what I&#8217;m praying for. But I mean, if that was true, don&#8217;t you think that he would&#8217;ve contacted someone by now?<\/p>\n<p>Kate: It&#8217;s late. What do you want?<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: I heard that you and victor had philip declared dead, that you signed an official document.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Yeah. I mean, does that really surprise you? Philip&#8217;s been missing for days, his prosthetic leg was found in the river. Brady was covered in his blood. Even you should be smart enough to know that brady killed philip.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: No, I don&#8217;t know that, because there&#8217;s no body.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Nope. Just a body of evidence.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: It&#8217;s all circumstantial. There&#8217;s zero proof that philip is even dead. So you need to tell that da lady that you made a mistake by signing that document.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Why would I do that?<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: Because trask is using it to railroad brady. She had him arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Well, why wouldn&#8217;t she? She has a knife covered in brady&#8217;s bloody fingerprints, she has the text&#8211;the vicious text that he wrote to philip. He actually wrote that if philip didn&#8217;t cut you out of his life, he would do it. And he did, chloe.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: I don&#8217;t know what happened that night, but brady is incapable of anything like that. He swears he didn&#8217;t hurt philip, and I believe him.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: [Scoffs] You&#8217;re a real piece of work, you know that? Your boyfriend was killed by brady in a jealous rage, and still you stand by him. That&#8217;s despicable.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: I care deeply for your son, but this is not fair, kate.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Oh, really? Really, is that why you and brady had sex on the conference table at basic black?<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: Who told you that? Lila: Before I was diagnosed, there was nothing<\/p>\n<p>Belle: So I wanted to run at theory by you about my brother&#8217;s situation.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn: Okay.<\/p>\n<p>Belle: Okay, so you know that brady and I are trying to piece together everything that happened the night that he allegedly got black-out drunk and attacked philip, right? So I went down to the pub, and I talked to rex about seeing the security footage.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn: And?<\/p>\n<p>Belle: And it was gone.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn: I mean, well, a lot of places, they have their system set up to where it deletes the footage after a certain period of time. I mean&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Belle: Except everything else was on the tape. The only thing missing was the few hours around when brady was there.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn: Okay, so, what, you think that it&#8217;s intentional? You think that somebody actually, like, purposely erased it?<\/p>\n<p>Belle: I do. I am starting to think that brady&#8217;s being framed.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn: By who?<\/p>\n<p>Belle: Well, I&#8217;m not sure, but I have an idea.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: Answer me, kate. Who told you that I had sex with brady?<\/p>\n<p>Kate: You did, chloe.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: What?<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Yeah, yeah. I had a meeting at basic black, and I happened to overhear you discussing the details of how you betrayed my son.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: I don&#8217;t know what you&#8217;re talking about.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Yeah, of course you do. Because I heard you tell brady not to tell anyone about the fact that you had sex on a conference table.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: Oh, my god, that&#8211; that wasn&#8217;t us. We were talking about someone else.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Oh, please.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: I&#8217;m serious. You misunderstood.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: I didn&#8217;t misunderstand anything. Dr. Evans, I&#8211; I&#8217;ve learned my lesson. I&#8217;m done causing trouble for your daughter and shawn.<\/p>\n<p>Marlena: Oh. That&#8217;s too bad. Especially now that I&#8217;m a mom, I can&#8217;t even imagine what she&#8217;s going through.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: You have always been a cheater, so I don&#8217;t know who the hell you think you&#8217;re fooling.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: I have made mistakes in the past, I will admit that.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Oh, my god. Could you just leave?<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: And I will also admit that there was a time I was torn between brady and philip, but once I chose your son, I was all in. I was completely committed to our relationship. I never strayed, not once.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Yeah, except every time philip turned around, there you were with brady.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: Nothing happened between brady and me!<\/p>\n<p>Kate: I don&#8217;t believe it. But do you know what I do believe? That you&#8217;re manipulative. You&#8217;re a manipulative little flirt. And tease and a liar and a slut so&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: Yeah, okay, I know what you think of me, kate, and I don&#8217;t really care, &#8217;cause I have zero respect for you as well. But for the record, I swear on parker&#8217;s life that I never cheated on philip. Now you&#8217;re a mom too, and you know I would never swear on my son&#8217;s life if I wasn&#8217;t telling the truth.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Okay, fine. Fine. Maybe you didn&#8217;t cheat on philip. But why did you stand by brady? He killed my son.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: I don&#8217;t believe that. Now, brady may be jealous, he may have been drunk, but he&#8217;s not a murderer. And I for one am still holding out hope that philip is out there alive. Because the thought of losing him&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Is what? Is unbearable? I know. More so for me than for you. But we may have to just accept it.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: No, what I&#8217;m gonna accept is the truth. And if you let trask convict brady of a crime he didn&#8217;t commit, then we may never find out what happened that night. So will you please just go talk to her? She&#8217;s in love with your brother.<\/p>\n<p>Belle: And when he broke things off with her, she was devastated. He completely cut her off, and she tried to kidnap their kid. That didn&#8217;t work, so maybe this is plan B.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn: Okay, okay, come on. But, I mean, kill philip? Do you think that she would really go that far just to get revenge on brady?<\/p>\n<p>Belle: I don&#8217;t know, maybe&#8211; maybe this is a way to hurt victor too. I mean, she still hates him after he let her think that rachel was dead for an entire year.<\/p>\n<p>Shawn: She had motive, and, I mean, she&#8211;she had opportunity considering she escaped police custody before this whole thing went down.<\/p>\n<p>Belle: Someone went to a lot of trouble to frame my brother. If it wasn&#8217;t kristen, who else would go to such extremes?<\/p>\n<p>Kayla: Ugh.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: Baby. You really should get a nurse to take a look at this&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Kayla: No. No, no, no. I want to be right here with you. Look, I am so sorry. I swear, I swear marlena looked exactly&#8211;and sounded exactly like you do right now. She just&#8211;she just&#8211; she just seemed to take glee out of the whole thing. And she was&#8211;she&#8211;she thought the whole thing was amusing. And I was terrified. Seeing my old friend with evil in her eyes like that and that horrible voice. I thought she was gonna kill me.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: Oh, thank god you&#8217;re all right. So what did she want?<\/p>\n<p>Kayla: She just went on this rant, saying that you and I had been a thorn in her side, just like shawn and belle. And that she wanted them to suffer, that I was the key to helping her do that.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: I wonder what she meant by that.<\/p>\n<p>[Monitor beeping]<\/p>\n<p>Jan: Dr. Evans, have you taken up smoking? &#8216;Cause your voice suddenly has this demi moore thing going on.<\/p>\n<p>Demon marlena: I&#8217;m not dr. Evans. I&#8217;ve merely taken possession of her body.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: Okay. You&#8217;ve clearly been smoking, and apparently more than just cigarettes.<\/p>\n<p>Demon marlena: I&#8217;m not up for your juvenile jokes. I need you to start wreaking havoc on shawn and belle. And if you don&#8217;t, I&#8217;m just gonna put you back in your coma.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: I&#8217;m not entirely convinced I&#8217;m awake.<\/p>\n<p>Demon marlena: Don&#8217;t be ridiculous. I&#8217;m the one who brought you out of the coma.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: Maybe I&#8217;m dreaming. Maybe I&#8217;m dead. If I run into philip, I swear to god.<\/p>\n<p>Demon marlena: [Gasps] Don&#8217;t use the g word.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: What did you just do with your eyes? They&#8211;they just turned yellow for a moment. God, or rather &#8220;g,&#8221; he clearly isn&#8217;t on my side, putting me in coma after coma. So it&#8217;s nice to know that someone has my back, even if it is the prince of darkness.<\/p>\n<p>Demon marlena: Wow. You do have a strange way of looking at things.<\/p>\n<p>Jan: Aw, thanks.<\/p>\n<p>Tripp: The hell?<\/p>\n<p>[Eerie, mystical music]<\/p>\n<p>Are you one of the millions of americans<\/p>\n<p>Philip: Took everything in me not to barge in here and call that whore out on her lies.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: [Sighs] Okay, philip. A mother doesn&#8217;t do that unless she&#8217;s telling the truth.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: I thought you were just trying to get rid of her. I didn&#8217;t think you were actually believing that bull she was shoveling you.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Okay. Okay, just&#8211; just relax.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: That woman is shameless. She&#8217;d do anything to win you over. Use her kid, blame her friend. She tried to pawn off what happened at basic black on nicole.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: I think it was nicole.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: What?<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Look, philip, I don&#8217;t blame you for any of this, but I think it&#8217;s very clear that you misunderstood what&#8211; what brady and chloe were saying. They didn&#8217;t betray you.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: No. No, I&#8217;ve seen how they are together. I know it&#8217;s true. I know it is.<\/p>\n<p>Kate: Philip, maybe you want it to be true.
