Look, I don&#8217;t wanna us to feel awkward about what just happened here. You had a&#8211;a natural reaction.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: A reaction I wasn&#8217;t sure I was ever gonna feel again until just now&#8230; because of you.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: I&#8211; I didn&#8217;t do anything really. I&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Eric: You&#8217;re just being you. Warm and caring.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Clumsy. Don&#8217;t forget clumsy.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: And clumsy. Yeah. I love how comfortable you are in your own skin. And you&#8211;you make everyone around you feel the same way. For a long time now, the&#8211; the thought of intimacy just gave me stress and tension, but you reminded me that, uh&#8211; that it can be fun. That&#8217;s exactly what I needed.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: &#8230;Got everything off your list.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: [Chattering]<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Hi.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: I like it, but why not take it further? Right? Like, take the back down so you can expose the shoulder.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Says the guy trying to corner the market on restraint with his design.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: I&#8217;m playing with a classic silhouette.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: You wanna play, that&#8217;s fine. You wanna make a statement, I&#8217;d cinch it all the way up, like a corset.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Okay, so what you&#8217;re saying is good enough is not good enough for what we&#8217;re doing here. It&#8217;s a good thing I know that we both want what&#8217;s best for hope for the future.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Yeah, that&#8217;s the one thing we can agree on.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Not the only thing. We both agree on how special paris is.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Sounds like you two are having a meeting of the minds.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Ah, critiquing each other&#8217;s designs.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Yeah, I heard. You need a referee? I can call pam in here.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Pam? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. You&#8217;re not volunteering yourself?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Oh, no way.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Thomas and i weren&#8217;t arguing. We were actually just talking about you.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Yeah. I heard. And I think you two are pretty special, too. Especially my sexy boyfriend.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Mmm.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: I adore you. You&#8217;ve brought so much joy and passion into my life. I&#8217;m just afraid I&#8217;m not gonna be able to return that in kind.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Um, are we interrupting anything?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: No. Not at all.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: If you need the room, we can come back.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: No, actually, uh, I should go.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Oh.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Well, don&#8217;t rush out on our account.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Is something wrong?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: No, not at all. As a matter of fact, uh, the day started out kind of not so good, but your sister here is a real breath of fresh air. I need to get home to my wife.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Yeah. You should go.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Yeah. Thanks, donna.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Paris is the one doing me a favor.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Letting you stay in your own apartment?<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: I&#8217;m just staying there till my realtor finds me the house of my dreams.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: So, the new roomies are getting along.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: My cuz isn&#8217;t driving you crazy yet?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: [Scoffs] No. And besides, we&#8217;re both so busy. We&#8217;re not even home that often.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: That&#8217;s true. I think I see you more at work than I do at home.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Glad to hear it.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Glad to&#8211; zende, you don&#8217;t have a problem with us living together?<\/p>\n<p>Zende: No. No, not at all. But if you&#8217;re seeing my girlfriend more often than I am, that doesn&#8217;t make me a very good boyfriend. I want paris to know that she&#8217;s my top priority.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: You don&#8217;t have to tell us exactly what eric said. Just tell us what&#8217;s going on.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Um, nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Oh, oh, oh, oh. Nothing that you wanna talk about. But we can see that it&#8217;s clearly something.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Yes, we can. You&#8217;ve never been able to lie to your sisters.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Oh, my god. You guys are like high school, you know? It&#8217;s like, &#8220;we saw you talking with eric.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>[Clattering]<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Oh!<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Nervous much?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Yes. You&#8217;re making me nervous, the two of you, with all these questions.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Well, you haven&#8217;t answered one of them. Why not?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: [Groans] You know, some conversations are meant to be private.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Oh.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: So telling eric the truth about your feelings, that did change things, didn&#8217;t it? He was finally able to see, to realize that you&#8217;re the woman that he should be with.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Brooke, he just went home to his wife, okay?<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Are you disappointed about that?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Yes. No. No. I&#8211;I don&#8217;t know. I just&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>[Sighs] It&#8217;s what he wants.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Okay. You know, if you&#8217;re not gonna tell us what&#8217;s going on, then maybe I think, brooke, we should call eric. We should just ask him, right?<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Yes.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Let&#8217;s me get my&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Donna: No. Don&#8217;T. Stop.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: No?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Maybe something more did happen.<\/p>\n<p>[Sighs] But you gotta promise me that you&#8217;re not gonna say anything to anyone. Okay?<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Okay.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Especially quinn. Because if she finds out I had something to do with this, she just might kill me.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Oh, please. I hardly ever talk to quinn.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Okay. Well&#8211;[Sighs] Last night I did, um, what you said, you know. You said tell eric I love him and how precious is he to me. And, um, it could&#8217;ve been really awkward and embarrassing, but it&#8211;it wasn&#8217;T. It&#8211;it actually wasn&#8217;t at all. More happened. You know. [Sighs] I didn&#8217;t lie. I didn&#8217;t lie. He did go home to quinn last night. He did. But, um, more happened here at the office that I&#8211;and I wouldn&#8217;t be telling you now. But it, um, kind of just happened again.<\/p>\n<p>[Sighs] Okay, I don&#8217;t think you&#8217;re following me here. Eric and I were reminiscing about our feelings for each other, about our relationship, our past. And we hugged. And&#8230;it must&#8217;ve&#8230; aroused some emotions in him, because&#8230; he had A&#8230;reaction.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: What sort of reaction?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Remember the thing that he was having a problem with? It kind of momentarily&#8230; resolved itself.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Oh. With you?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Mm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: What are you doing home so soon?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Well, I&#8217;m looking for my beautiful wife, but there she is.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: There she is.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Is shauna gone? Is she still&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Yeah. No. She left a while ago, and, well, my afternoon meeting was canceled, so I thought I&#8217;d do some work at home.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Mm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Unless, uh, you have something else in mind.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Oh, I do. I do. It&#8217;s all I&#8217;ve been thinking about all the way home.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Yeah?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Look at you. A smile on your face.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Yeah?<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Pep in your step. What&#8217;s going on, mr. Forrester? Something happen at the office? See you later teeth stains.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: What are you talking about? You&#8217;re a fantastic boyfriend.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Yeah, you&#8217;ve done a lot more for me than I&#8217;ve done for you. Wine and candlelight, I&#8217;m your man. But, I mean, come on, that dodgers game?<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: That was one heck of a surprise.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: It&#8217;s nothing compared to the last one. Have you told him about the scholarship fund?<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Yeah, I gotta say, though, it does sound a little, like, egotistical. The zende forrester scholarship fund.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Yeah, okay. Fine, fine. But it benefits kids from the orphanage where my parents found me. I still can&#8217;t believe it.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Well, I wanted to honor you. I know how much where you came from means to you.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Yeah, but&#8230; you&#8217;re the one who set it up. Doing something so amazing for me for those kids? Well, that&#8217;s what you do, isn&#8217;t it? You make things better. I can&#8217;t tell you how blessed I am to have you in my life.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Mmm.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: [Laughs] You weren&#8217;t at work for very long. What got you so revved up?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: &#8220;Revved up&#8221;? Is that how I seem to you? Revved up.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: [Laughs] You know what? I think I need to start paying more attention during those budget meetings because I never had any idea that they were so scintillating.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Yeah, this was not a budget meeting, believe me.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Well, whatever it is, I like it. Things have been so heavy between us and it&#8217;S&#8230; it&#8217;s so nice to see my husband so energized, especially after the way you left this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Well, things are a lot different now.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Yeah. Good. Because I&#8211;I didn&#8217;t want you to go to work feeling discouraged, because I wasn&#8217;T. You know, I know last night, it&#8211;it wasn&#8217;t the outcome that we expected, but, I could sense your desire and your willingness to try.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Yeah?<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: And it&#8217;s gonna happen.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: I feel like I&#8217;m&#8211; I&#8217;m gonna be the man I used to be. All the passion I used to feel, I wanted to bring that home to you.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: [Laughs] Oh!<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: You and eric?<\/p>\n<p>Katie: So, he had A&#8230; breakthrough with you, just now. Right here.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Wait, so the two of you have been&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Oh, no. No, no, no, not like that. We&#8211;we were just&#8230; reminiscing.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: About your feelings for him?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Yeah. Yeah, and his for me, and you know, about the past.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: And somehow, that led to his&#8230;breakthrough.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: [Sighs] Eric knows I would never do anything to undermine his marriage, despite my opinion about quinn. But&#8230;I think we&#8217;re just able to relax around each other, you know? No judgment, no pressure and I&#8211;I think that&#8217;s how he was able to&#8230; you know. Look, we were both shocked. And it could&#8217;ve been, like, weird or awkward or uncomfortable but it wasn&#8217;t, because I saw how relieved he was, you know? To finally have that glimmer of hope. It was really significant for him.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: And for you, too, donna. I mean, you triggered that feeling in him.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Well, no, I&#8211; uh, no. Nothing changed between us.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: How can you say that?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Because he just raced home to his wife, again, like last time.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Oh, honey.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: No, it&#8217;s okay. Quinn&#8217;s his wife and that&#8217;s who he wants to share the feelings with. Maybe this time they&#8217;ll be a&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Katie: What do you mean? Wait, ho-hold on. Back up. What do you mean, &#8220;maybe this time&#8221;? It&#8211;you mean&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Wait, you mean&#8230; he didn&#8217;t feel for quinn what he felt for you?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: No. [Weak chuckle] Last night, eric went home to quinn, and&#8230; nothing happened.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Of course not! Because he doesn&#8217;t love quinn! He loves you! Don&#8217;t settle. Start your day with secret.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: All right, stop. You two are reading way too much into this.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Eric had a breakthrough with you, not with quinn. That is a fact.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Okay, but it doesn&#8217;t mean he&#8217;s in love with me.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Well, he obviously feels something for you more than he feels for quinn. It wasn&#8217;t a fluke, donna. You said it happened twice.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Because there&#8217;s no pressure with me. It&#8217;s not going anywhere.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Well, could it?<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Okay, stop. I am not a homewrecker.<\/p>\n<p>Katie: No, no, no. Of course not. Of course not.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: But you have very strong feelings for eric and obviously he has very strong feelings for you. Eric can&#8217;t waste another minute on quinn. This has gone on long enough. And the problem won&#8217;t go away, because the problem is quinn. He&#8217;s gotta realize that by now. The woman he should be with isn&#8217;t quinn, donna&#8211;it&#8217;s you.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Wait, what&#8211; where are you going?<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Seems like she&#8217;s on a mission.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Oh&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Zende: What do you have planned for tonight?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Nothing, really.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: You want to have dinner?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Yeah, I&#8217;d like that.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Oh, you&#8217;re gonna love it. I&#8217;m thinking of doing something special. Intimate. Just the two of us.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: You know, if you want me to clear out, I, uh&#8211; I can just give you the apartment to yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: No, no, no, it&#8217;s okay, man. It&#8217;s fine. We&#8217;ll just use the guest house. I know eventually we&#8217;ll be spending a lot of time at paris&#8217;s but tonight, I want to get as much privacy with this lady as I can.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: [Groans] Why does brooke have to get involved in everything?<\/p>\n<p>Katie: Because she&#8217;s trying to help you.<\/p>\n<p>Donna: Oh&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Katie: And eric. And I know you don&#8217;t want to get your hopes up, but&#8230; I think that man really might love you.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Eric?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Brooke, hi.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Hey. Is quinn here?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: She&#8217;s not here for the moment. Why?<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Okay, well, I need to talk to you about something&#8230; sensitive. Katie and I were talking to donna after you left, and&#8230;it seemed like something was going on there.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Well, your sister and i are very close to each other. We, uh&#8211;we have a great deal of respect for each other, so we were talking.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Well, she didn&#8217;t want to say anything, but we&#8230; dragged it out of her.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: I wish you hadn&#8217;t done that.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Eric. [Laughs] What are you talking about? This is great news. You have to be relieved.<\/p>\n<p>[Laughs] I know I am. I&#8217;m overjoyed for you. You haven&#8217;t been very happy. You&#8217;ve been stuck in this awful marriage with quinn, and this gives you a glimpse of what life beyond this is like.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: I think you&#8217;re misinterpreting what happened there today.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: No, I don&#8217;t think I am, eric. It should be pretty clear to you, too. Your psyche is trying to tell you something and you need to listen. It&#8217;s not that you don&#8217;t have passion or desire. It&#8217;s just that you don&#8217;t have that with quinn. You&#8217;ve been a very good husband. She betrayed you, and you forgave her and you took her back.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: I won&#8217;t be chastised for that, brooke.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Eric, that&#8217;s not why I&#8217;m here. I know you don&#8217;t want to be alone, and you think if you give up quinn that you will be. That&#8217;s the only reason you&#8217;re staying committed to her. But that&#8217;s not love. Okay, maybe you loved her at some time in the past, but you don&#8217;t anymore. I mean, if you really, truly loved her, unconditionally, you would&#8217;ve been able to show her last night. And don&#8217;t blame donna for this, okay? She didn&#8217;t want to tell us, but we pressured her. So you have to see what this means, right? You couldn&#8217;t with quinn, but you could with donna. Twice! Eric&#8230; that means quinn isn&#8217;t the woman you&#8217;re supposed to be with.
