I mean, if you&#8217;re&#8211; if you and ava are having breakfast, I don&#8217;t want to interrupt. I&#8217;ll go.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: No, no. I&#8217;m actually having breakfast alone. If you want to join me&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Do you not have somewhere u need to be?<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Oh, no, I do. I just love saying &#8220;I told you so.&#8221; Rafe is on his way to moving on. Ava! What happened? Did you lose your appetite?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Only because the sight of you makes me sick.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Oh, that&#8217;s funny. I have the same reaction to the sight of you. But don&#8217;t worry. We won&#8217;t be seeing nearly as much of each other once rafe decides he wants to be with nicole and&#8230; drops you in the gutter, where you belong.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: [Exhales heavily] Puttana stupida! Might want to be a little more careful who you turn your back on.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: Wait. While I do respect my mother&#8217;s opinion, I make my own decisions. Welcome to titan.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: [Laughs]<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Now that I&#8217;ve got you in the door at titan, we can move on from phase one.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Okay. What&#8217;s phase two?<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: We watch. We listen. We gather information. We learn everything that we can about the way philip does business, and then we find the perfect way to sabotage him.<\/p>\n<p>[Laughs] We&#8217;ll take him down so fast and hard, he&#8217;ll never know what hit him.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Ah. Then we take over the company and the entire world, if you have your way, right?<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Exactly.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Huh. You&#8230; are a diabolical genius. You know that?<\/p>\n<p>[Dramatic music]<\/p>\n<p>I promise, you won&#8217;t regret it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Ah, well&#8230; that went well. Ugh.<\/p>\n<p>Male announcer: Like sands through the hourglass, so are the &#8220;days of our lives.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>[Soft orchestration]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: You know, this is the second time you&#8217;ve cooked for me this week.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Hmm. Well, actually, I don&#8217;t think boiling water for boxed mac and cheese with holly helping actually counts as cooking.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: [Laughs] Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Yeah. Yep. Yeah. Mm. Oh. I don&#8217;t think this actually counts as cooking, either.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Oh, stop it. Stop it; you have been so good to me, and if you&#8217;re not careful, you just might spoil me.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: So you&#8217;re gonna try them?<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Here we go. Yes.<\/p>\n<p>[Strained] Mmm. These are&#8211;oh. These are interesting, huh?<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: I warned you.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: No! Really, they&#8217;re great. They really&#8211;they&#8217;re great, and especially since I just popped in out of the blue. I mean, I didn&#8217;t pop in, but&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>[Sighs]<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: What do you mean?<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Well, gabi told me to stop by. She said that I&#8217;ve been on your mind and that you&#8217;d wanna see me.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Really?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: &#8220;I am sorry for blowing up the way I did about you and nicole. You&#8217;re just friends. I need to understand that.&#8221; Oh, the hell you are, &#8217;cause if you had it your way, you&#8217;d be with her right now. But then, of course, you&#8217;d have to be man enough to admit what you really want. Delete. &#8220;The only thing I&#8217;m sorry about is that I was clueless enough to expect a man to understand anything about women.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Steve: Who are you texting, ava?<\/p>\n<p>[Disquieting music]<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve got moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.<\/p>\n<p>Brady: There&#8217;s nothing wrong with a little healthy competition.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: Unless you&#8217;re doing it just to mess with philip.<\/p>\n<p>Brady: Chloe, I don&#8217;t know. I don&#8217;t get it. If you think for one second that I&#8217;m gonna tiptoe around philip&#8217;s infantile feelings when it comes to making a business deal, that&#8217;s not gonna happen. And I think I need to remind you that philip is not your boss. I am.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: So are you ordering me to go to new york with you, boss?<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Look, I admire your ability to separate the personal from the professional.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: My priority is the future of this company. I can&#8217;t let my mother&#8217;s doubts or, frankly, her hatred of you color a decision as important as this.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Okay, well, with all due respect, as someone who works for the competition, I don&#8217;t think kate has titan&#8217;s best interests at heart.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: And you do?<\/p>\n<p>Jake: You will find me to be very loyal.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: I&#8217;m counting on that. Your knowledge of dimera, your ceo experience, will make you an invaluable asset.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: I couldn&#8217;t agree more. Looks like we&#8217;ve got a new hire.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: Could you catch him up on what&#8217;s going on with gabi chic?<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>Philip: Great.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Where are you going?<\/p>\n<p>Philip: I gotta be somewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: When will you be back?<\/p>\n<p>Philip: A few hours.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Well, I guess it&#8217;s just the two of us.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Hmm.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: I ran into gabi outside the brady pub, and I shared with her how bad I feel about how much I&#8217;ve leaned on you, and I went on about how you&#8217;ve comforted me, and gabi said she knows firsthand that you wanted me to lean on you.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: That is true. I told you that. Well, um&#8230; I am happy to be here for you through all of this.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Yeah, I know. You&#8217;ve told me that. But I&#8217;m just worried that gabi was being polite.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: [Scoffs] Gabi is a lot of things, but polite is not one of them. But just so we&#8217;re clear&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Clear about what?<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: I wanna be here for you, and like I said, I wanna help you through all of this because that&#8217;s what friends are for. But gabi is just making trouble.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Trouble for who?<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Ava. She has been amusing herself by trying to convince ava that I don&#8217;t wanna be with her anymore because I wanna be with you.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Oh, steven. Didn&#8217;t see you there. I was just texting rafe.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: Well, it&#8217;s none of my business, but you might wanna think twice before you send it.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: You&#8217;re right.<\/p>\n<p>[Phone beeps] Deleted.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: So&#8230; how are things going with you two?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Oh, they&#8217;re great, just really, really great, especially since we had a big fight this morning, but now, you get to gloat because you warned rafe that dating me would be the biggest mistake of his life.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: I was out of line to say that. And&#8230; I owe you an apology.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Ah. Maybe we should&#8217;ve waited till after brunch to tell victor about the wedding.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: Egg?<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Mm-mm, caper.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: [Laughs]<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: I suppose I should apologize to old vic for throwing the lox, though honestly, I didn&#8217;t think it would actually hit him.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: Why? He started it. Why apologize?<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Right. That&#8217;s right, he did. He did, when he dumped my countrified steak and eggs in my lap.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: Right?<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Oh, look. Oh. Mmm, mmm, mmm! So good! Remind me to thank cook for making it just like my mama did.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: You&#8217;re not angry?<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Honey, I&#8217;m hungry, but angry? We both know how victor feels about me. Is it&#8211;[Laughs] Is it a surprise he threw in a side of bacon with his opinion?<\/p>\n<p>Justin: You deserve better.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: You know, maybe you do. Seriously, look at me. It&#8217;s what most of your family and friends think, isn&#8217;t it? Seeing victor so upset, so disgusted, I think that right about now, you&#8217;re wondering if really there should be a wedding at all. Pool floaties are like whooping cough.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: All right, now you&#8217;ve had the grand tour, what do you think?<\/p>\n<p>Jake: I think that this&#8230; this is right where I belong. Ah, yeah. Hmm?<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Jake, do you mean titan, or that ceo chair?<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Oh, I like the view from behind this desk.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Really? Well, get your ass out of that chair&#8211;my chair&#8211;because we have things to do.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Hmm. What do you have in mind?<\/p>\n<p>[Sly music]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: We need to turn this place upside down if we&#8217;re gonna find something that&#8217;s gonna help us convince victor to get his son out of this company.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: Our wedding is about you and me, no one else, so it is definitely on for tomorrow. I don&#8217;t care if the old goat comes or not. If he doesn&#8217;t, at least our wedding cake will be safe.<\/p>\n<p>[Both laugh]<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: [Inhales sharply] Sometimes I seriously have to pinch myself. This is&#8230; this is real, and you&#8217;re real.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: As real as that cream cheese on your neck right there.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Right there? Ooh.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: I&#8217;ll get it.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. Mm.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: That&#8217;s tasty.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Mmm, salty.<\/p>\n<p>[Laughs]<\/p>\n<p>Justin: Maybe we should&#8230; take this upstairs.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: [Gasps] Are you kidding me? Honey, there&#8217;s 24 hours to our wedding! I gotta lock in my matron of honor&#8230; if you&#8217;re still okay with kayla standing up for me. I mean, I did ask her already and everything.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: No, I&#8217;m very okay. I&#8217;m very okay. In fact, as you know, sonny will be my best man. I&#8217;m just waiting to hear from&#8211; er, get a text from him about when he arrives tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Okay.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: Oh, wait a minute. I just missed a phone call from him. Better call him back. Sonny, sorry I missed your call. So what time do you arrive tomorrow? Oh, no.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: You owe me an apology? Now that&#8217;s a new one.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: I&#8217;ve started to realize that I tend to hold on to my opinion of other people even when what&#8217;s right in front of me tells me that that opinion might not hold water anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: What are you talking about?<\/p>\n<p>Steve: You. Bonnie lockhart.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: I don&#8217;t understand.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: When justin started dating bonnie, I warned him that she would make his life hell, just like I warned rafe against you. Justin said she&#8217;d changed. She said the same thing. I didn&#8217;t believe it, and I was wrong. Bonnie&#8217;s good for justin. Oh, they&#8217;re happy. Hell, they&#8217;re engaged.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Hmm.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: So I couldn&#8217;t see who bonnie had become because I couldn&#8217;t see past the grudge I had against her.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: So what changed?<\/p>\n<p>Steve: A very wise woman told me that you have to let go of the hurt and anger to find compassion. It&#8217;s the only way to move forward. So it&#8217;s time I did that. It&#8217;s time I realized that bonnie really is trying to change. Least I can do is give her the benefit of the doubt. And you deserve that too.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: [Gasps] I&#8211;that&#8217;s ridiculous. You and I are just friends, right? I mean, that&#8217;s it.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Right? Yeah, yes, and that&#8217;s what I&#8211; I&#8217;ve been telling ava that over and over, but you know, gabi&#8217;s getting her because gab is a master button-pusher, and she&#8217;s been pushing ava&#8217;s buttons, and so&#8230; we had a fight.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: About you and me.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: [Sighs] Rafe, I&#8217;m so sorry.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: No, no, no, no, no. Nicole, you don&#8217;t have to be sorry. There&#8217;s nothing for you to be sorry for. It&#8217;s just&#8230; you know, if something that small set ava off, and she doesn&#8217;t trust me anyway, I&#8230; you know, in the beginning, i thought that&#8211;I thought we were a great match, you know, and that things were really gonna work out, but&#8230; I don&#8217;t know. Maybe we&#8217;re just too different to make things work.<\/p>\n<p>Certain hpv-related cancers?<\/p>\n<p>Brady: No, of course I&#8217;m not gonna order you to go to new york. I would never make you do anything you&#8217;re uncomfortable with. However, that being said, i could really use your help in new york, especially since nicole can&#8217;t go.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: And, trust me, i wanna do the work that you and nicole are paying me to do.<\/p>\n<p>Brady: Okay, well, today, that work is in new york.<\/p>\n<p>Chloe: Okay, I know that now.<\/p>\n<p>Brady: Yeah. And while you&#8217;re doing the work that we are paying you to do, as you put it, you get to see your family, see parker and your parents, and I think that would do you some good, right? Besides, chloe, if you and philip are as solid as you say you are, why would he have a problem with this?<\/p>\n<p>Philip: Why would I have a problem with what?<\/p>\n<p>[Dramatic music]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Whoa!<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: What? What did you find?<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Guy collects baseball cards. Sammy sosa rookie, o&#8217;brien&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: [Spluttering] Stop! Baseball cards are not gonna bring philip down.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: All right, you&#8217;re right, you&#8217;re right. It feels good, though, to be back on track, I gotta say. My hiring almost didn&#8217;t happen, okay? Kate warned phil that you and i might screw him over.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: It&#8217;s a good thing that philip doesn&#8217;t listen to mommy dearest. You know, there is nothing here!<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Yeah, not everything is as easy as pushing ava vitali&#8217;s buttons.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: I don&#8217;t know what you&#8217;re talking about.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Mm. She was ready to combust this morning, and you put a match to her.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: She doesn&#8217;t belong with my brother, so what, I&#8217;ve been trying to get into her head so she gets out of my brother&#8217;s life. Who cares?<\/p>\n<p>Jake: You really think that&#8217;s a good idea?<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: It was so easy. I just&#8211;I plant this tiny seed in her mind that my brother&#8217;s more interested in nicole, and ava runs with it. I mean, I expected her to, but i didn&#8217;t think that she&#8217;d be busting his chops so soon.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Even though nothing&#8217;s going on between rafe and nicole?<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Not yet. But I might have seen nicole earlier, and I might have suggested that she take her &#8220;woe is me&#8221; sob story and rest her sad little head on rafe&#8217;s big, supportive shoulder.<\/p>\n<p>[Laughs] Pretty sure she&#8217;s there now.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: So ava accused me of having feelings for you, and, you know, I tried to explain to her that you&#8217;re just going through a rough patch, and I was doing things that any friend would do, but ava&#8217;s got it through her head that I secretly want you, and I couldn&#8217;t convince her otherwise. I mean, how crazy is that?<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: It&#8217;s not so crazy.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: What?<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Maybe ava&#8217;s right.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: It means a lot that you would have an open mind about me.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: Well, you keep telling me you wanna be a better person for our son. I respect that, and I know how much it means to tripp.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: I mean, there is nothing that I want more than to make tripp proud of me.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: Well, looks like you&#8217;re on your way. But I can&#8217;t expect you to up your game unless I do the same, so I wanna say, if you and rafe are happy, I hope it all works out.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Thanks, but I&#8217;m not so sure that it&#8217;s going to. I&#8217;m not so sure that he still wants to be with me. We women are in the know about everything.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: [Scoffs] We&#8217;re talking steve and kayla here. You can&#8217;t have one without the other. I mean, they go together like gin and tonic.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: Bonnie, the real reason?<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: [Sighs] Okay. All right. When I pitched being my matron of honor to kayla, I said to her that having a classy woman like her would tell the whole world that marrying me might be a good thing, you know? If kayla johnson was in our corner, then obviously, you and me were meant to be. You know? And then having steve there&#8211; well, a legit supercouple? I mean, b-oom! Proverbial icing on the big old wedding cake, eh? Right? I mean, right?<\/p>\n<p>Justin: [Chuckles]<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: What?<\/p>\n<p>Justin: I don&#8217;t know how exactly, but you convinced me.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: [Gasps]<\/p>\n<p>Justin: And that it obviously means a lot to you, so, in the interest of making my bride-to-be happy, I will ask steve to be my best man.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Yes, yes, yes, yes! Oh, thank you! Thank you, justin. Thank you, thank you, thank you.<\/p>\n<p>Justin: I don&#8217;t know how in the hell I&#8217;m going to convince him to say yes, but I will&#8211; I&#8217;ll think of something.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnie: Oh!<\/p>\n<p>[Laughs]<\/p>\n<p>Ava: I started the whole thing. No, I was upset because of how close he is with nicole.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: You know they&#8217;ve been friends for years, right?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Yes, I know that&#8230; up here. In here&#8230; all I see is that she is the one that he wants to be with. She&#8217;s the one who laughs with him so easily. Whenever I can&#8217;t find him, guess where he is. With her. And it stings in my heart every single time, and I certainly don&#8217;t have to tell you how crazy and jealous i can get.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Gabi&#8230; if I were you, I would leave ava vitali alone.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: What, because she&#8217;s some sort of mafia princess? Think that scares me?<\/p>\n<p>Jake: No, I don&#8217;t, but maybe it should. Maybe you should be a little more respectful of her past.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: Did you cross paths with her when you were working for her crime family?<\/p>\n<p>Jake: No, I didn&#8217;T. I was too low on the food chain to be on her radar. But I&#8217;m telling you, I heard stories. She&#8217;s ruthless, brutal, even, so do me a favor. Do yourself a favor. Steer clear of her.<\/p>\n<p>Gabi: No, never mind me. What about rafe? If she was so brutal and ruthless, she better stay the hell away from my brother.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: I&#8217;ve known you a long time, ava, so maybe you&#8217;ll take a bit of advice. Try trusting rafe.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Hmm, trust. Now, there is something I am not very good at.<\/p>\n<p>Steve: But you can learn. Because if you let your insecurity make you paranoid, that always leads to obsession, and I&#8217;d like to think those bad old days are behind you. So if rafe says he wants to be with you, take him at his word.<\/p>\n<p>[Gentle music]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: What do you think that ava&#8217;s right about?<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Well, she&#8217;s not right about you and me. I mean, you secretly wanting me&#8211;that&#8217;s ridiculous. But she is right about spending time together, about me leaning on you too much.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Well, that&#8217;s not her call.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Can you just hear me out?<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Okay.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: I know ava, and i know how insecure she can be, especially with men. I mean, she asked you in front of me if you had feelings for me, and you said no, and she still couldn&#8217;t accept it.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Well, she&#8217;s gonna have to accept it. I mean, she&#8217;s gonna have to accept that you and I are friends. I&#8217;m not gonna stop hanging out with you just because she feels threatened.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Well, why not? If you care about her, why would you want her to feel that way?<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Well, I don&#8217;t want her to feel that way, but I also&#8211; I don&#8217;t like that she&#8217;s so possessive, and&#8230; you know, I don&#8217;t want to spend less time with you, or anyone else, for that matter, just because she feels jealous or insecure.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Okay. I understand.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Okay.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: But when I suggested that ava move in here with you&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: You mean when you strongarmed me.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: Yes, when i strongarmed you. I just&#8211;I thought that you could be good for her, and you have been, and you wanna know what else I see? That she&#8217;s been good for you. And I do not wanna get in the way of that. I really don&#8217;T.<\/p>\n<p>Rafe: Okay, look, you just ended your marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole: And you and ava just started something.
