The characters are deer, but they live in a town like people. They have super powers that remind me a little bit of Power Rangers. Since it&#8217;s a show for young kids, they teach many lessons in the show. In the first episode, the rich human &#8220;bad guy&#8221; wants to stay in bed all day, so he makes giant sunglasses that block the sun. The Deer Squad have to find a way to get rid of the sunglasses, since their powers come from the sun. They learn the lesson that even though the sun might be annoying some times (such as when it gets in your eyes), it&#8217;s important for life.<\/p>\n<p>The Deer Squad protect the animals in Central Forest and the people who live in Platinum City. This seems a lot to ask for deer, but they do have super powers. The result of a partnership between iQIYI,\u00a0an innovative market-leading online entertainment service in\u00a0China, Nickelodeon International and VIS KIDS, a division of ViacomCBS International Studios, <em>Deer Squad <\/em>will premiere on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on Jan. 25, at 9 a.m. (ET\/PT) in the preschool block. The series will continue to air regularly weekdays at 9 a.m. (ET\/PT).<\/p>\n<p>The adventure-rescue show follows four, lovable, enthusiastic and heroic deer friends\u2014Kai, Lola, Bobbi and Rammy\u2014who protect the animals of Central Forest and the humans who inhabit Platinum City, a futuristic metropolis surrounding their woodland home. When there\u2019s trouble, the Deer summon their special Planet Powers of Water (Kai), Wood (Lola), Earth (Bobbi) and Sun (Rammy) to solve problems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe first partnered with iQIYI on the series with a worldwide audience in mind. We hope that there will be more Chinese original animations to go international,\u201d said Yang Xiaoxuan, Vice President of iQIYI and Head of Original Animation and Investment.<\/p>\n<p>Nickelodeon International aired <em>Deer Squad <\/em>across Asia in August 2020, including iQIYI\u2019s platform in China, and premiered in Australia, New Zealand and the UK later in the year. It was the #1 show in the Philippines amongst kids 2-14<sup>1<\/sup>, ranked Nick Jr. as the #1 STV channel in Australia among kids 0-4 during <em>Deer Squad <\/em>premieres<sup>2<\/sup> and averaged +148% in the UK compared to the timeslot benchmark<sup>3<\/sup>.
